We’re a small, women-led community. We only collect what we need, we never sell your details, and we don’t use tracking or advertising cookies. Here’s exactly what happens with your information.

The Women’s Circle (“we”, “us”) is run by The Women’s Circle UK Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17459890). We run this website, our circles, workshops, newsletter and shop, and we are the data controller for the personal information described here. You can reach us any time at sophie@thewomenscircle.uk.
Your first name and email address, so we can send you our monthly newsletter. We only add you once you confirm by email, and every email has an unsubscribe link. Lawful basis: your consent.
The form on our Apply page opens your own email app with your answers filled in, so nothing is stored on this website. When you send it, we receive your name, email address and whatever you choose to share, to plan the circle and contact you about a place. Lawful basis: your consent.
If you email us or message us, we use your details to reply and help with what you asked. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in responding to you.
When our online shop is open, orders are handled by Shopify, which collects your name, address, email and payment details to process and deliver your order. We never see your full card details. Lawful basis: to fulfil your order.
At our circles we collect what we need to run the event, such as your name, contact details and any dietary or access needs. Photos and film may be taken; we’ll always tell you first, and you can ask not to be featured. Lawful basis: your consent.
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits, popular pages and the type of device used. It doesn’t use cookies, doesn’t identify you and doesn’t follow you around the web.
Some of our conversations are about periods, menopause and women’s health, and you might choose to tell us about your own health. That’s special category information, and we treat it with extra care. We only use it with your explicit consent, only to support your place in the circle, and we never share it with sponsors or partners. Sharing it is always optional.
We’re a community, not a clinic. Nothing on this website or at our circles is medical advice. Always speak to your GP or a specialist about your health.
We never sell or rent your information. We use a few trusted services to run things, and they only use your data on our instructions:
Some of these companies may process data outside the UK. Where they do, they use legal safeguards such as the UK’s approved data transfer agreements.
You can ask us to see the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. If you gave consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Just email sophie@thewomenscircle.uk and we’ll reply within one month.
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
We don’t use any tracking, advertising or social media cookies, so there’s nothing for you to accept or reject. Your browser does keep a few small notes on your own device so parts of the site work the way you’d expect. They never leave your device and we can’t see them:
You can clear these any time in your browser settings. If we ever add cookies that need your permission, we’ll ask you first.
Questions about your privacy? Email sophie@thewomenscircle.uk. We’ll update this page if anything changes, and the date at the top will always show the latest version.
Email Sophie directly and we’ll get back to you within one month, usually much sooner.
Add us to your home screen for one-tap access to circles, workshops, the shop and the Circle Letter.
We don’t use tracking or advertising cookies. Our visitor stats are anonymous and cookie-free, and your browser just remembers little things like your poll vote.
